Stirling's venue for music and art...

Tolbooth has the reputation as one of the best live music venues in the country. The building has a very interesting past. Through Stirling's history it has been a court, a jail with death cells and hosted a parliament in the reign of James VI. Nowadays the Tolbooth is the base of Stirling Council's Arts and Event Team and the home to some of the best musicians and performers working in Scotland. The Tolbooth organise a year round performance programme, courses and classes,and an arts development programme across the whole area. It lies just across the road from the hostel.

Macrobert, University of Stirling

Macrobert is located on the stunning campus of the University of Stirling and offers a diversified programme from film, theatre, dance music to comedy. The facilities have been designed by young people themselves and include a theatre for children, a state of the art cinema, children's art gallery and more as well as a stylish cafe bar and a medium scale theatre space. Blair Drumond Safari Park

Only 4 miles from Stirling, reachable by bus lays the Blair Drummond Safari Park. Discover wild animals such as Rhinos, Bisons, Antelopes, Elephants, Giraffes, Camels, Lions and Tigers. Dancing and Pipe Band Events in summer

In July and August from 7.15-8.15pm on the Castle Esplanade, visitors can visit a free performance by a local dancing school and piper, playing traditional jigs, reels and strathspeys. Come and visit a real highland event.
