Discover the city on the most comfortable way and get on the sightseeing bus. Visiting among others the Wallace Monument, Stirling Castle and Stirling University the bus tour is most educational about Stirling's past and present. The tours run every 40 minutes from 9.30am (from King Street) to 4.10pm (the last complete tour), each tour lasting one hour. You can board and leave the bus at any of the designated stops. This famous quotation from the movie Braveheart describes the great Scottish victory of the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314 where Robert the Bruce and his army defeated the English on the fields of Bannockburn. Right in front of Stirling Castle Scotland won their independance. Visit Bannockburn, its battle field, an exhibition on Robert the Bruce and a re-enactment of the Battle of Bannockburn.

Scotland's most accessible distillery located at Blackford at the foot of the Ochil Hills is only 13 miles from Stirling and open all year 7 days a week from 10am to 5.30pm. Visitors can join an informative distillery tour and enjoy a taste of a whisky. The distillery's cafe offers a fabulous view of the surrounding hillside and the home-prepared food is most delicious.
